Campus Investment and Development
There were some differences that can be attributed to the fact that Jordan focused on how the university utilized nature in enhancing campus life and that Owen focused on how the university utilized architecture and construction in developing campus life. The time frames of the two projects did not match up exactly either. Despite these differences, however, we found broad overlap in the topics discussed in our texts. We also realized that Indiana University takes action that involves both nature and architecture/construction. Finally, we also found in their readings that nature is influenced by architecture/construction and vice versa on campus. Even though the time frames do not match up perfectly, the time frames still overlap for about 70 years. Our use of Carto, a data mapping website, visually represents the change over time that has occurred on campus as it affects daily student experience.
